I'm always on the look out for interesting indie flicks that pass below most people's radar. Usually theres a damn good reason why no one's seen it, but 20 years later deserves a bit more attention.Set in the near future, 20 years after the destruction of human civilization, a young girl is the first woman to become pregnant since the fall of man. Now its up to a band of ragtag survivors to get her safely beyond the blight, searching for an unknown man who's been broadcasting a radio show. Along the way they're hunted by an evil group of survivors that want the child for their own nefarious deeds.
So the synopsis of the film sounds alot like another post apocalyptic sci-fi film i won't mention here, but the film is actually quite different. Sure it's about a pregnant girl in a post apocalyptic world but here there is no evil government. Civilization is already gone. Think the road warrior. On a tiny budget the film is able to create a believable world gone wrong with unique characters, some beautiful photography and well seasoned actors. The plot moves along at a quick pace and is believable.
20 years after is a pretty good post-apocalyptic film about camaraderie, death, and birth. I don't know why in this day and age there aren't more post-apocalyptic films coming out. I can almost hear the Four Horsemen as they approach...

Overall - 7/10
