So I wanted to check out The Beast since I heard it was an adult beauty and the beast tale, thinking it would have some gore and some nudity. Well, there's no gore to speak of but I did get the nudity, but not the nudity i wanted. The Beast is about a young woman who is to be married to a young man in a pre-arranged marriage bringing together the two powerful and rich families. The young woman finds a book of literature written by the family's ancestor about her finding a beast out in the woods that she copulated with. So while the young woman waits to be wed she reads the book and fantasizes about the beast taking the woman in the story.
So the film is pretty damn slow going and although its supposed to take place in the year in which it was made, it certainly feels like a stuffy old period piece film filled with scandal and intrigue. Let me begin by saying that the first ten minutes or so is nothing but two horses mating...graphically. I could have done without that trip down animal planet totally uncensored road. After that theres plenty of talking and talking and you get the idea. Then we are treated to the fantasy of the beast which has nothing to do with the beauty and the beast, and everything to do with beastiality. We never really get to see much of the woman, but we get an eye full of the beast's ding dong as it thrusts and squirts at the woman. Once again, not what I was expecting and not really what I want to see. The beast himself looks like the wolf from the never ending story, just with a huge schlong. Funny, yes, appealing...no.
I don't really know what to say about this one. It's not particular good, but not really that bad either. The acting is solid and the directing is fine, if a bit dry. Honestly there's just way too much beast meat in the film and not enough of anything else. Strange film indeed and one for Eurosleaze fans only.
Gore-none
Nudity-lots of beast wang
Overall - 5/10
