Why did I never see the Blob as a kid? How did this awesome late 80's special effects grue filled film slip through my fingers?This late 80's remake pins the Blob's origin not from outerspace, but from our very own US of A. Yes the US has created this super being to destroy those pesky Russians, only its growing much faster then they had anticipated, devouring humans left and right in a small sleepy town. Its up to the goody goody girl and the rebel guy to put a stop to the blob's rampage.
The special effects in this film are great! Sure some of it is pretty cheesy blue screen action, but mostly you'll find wonderful blood filled practical effects that tickle this reviewer's gore bone. The film is fast paced and action packed. Great film for fans of 80's horror silliness. Awesome.
